Anybody have any trouble rebuilding the master clutch cylinder? Ok so I took my 1.7 .032 over bored, craig davis electric water pump, alt deleted, alum radiadator, electic fan 1969 95 out for a 70 miler and that killed the clutch master cylinder. Anyway, after a 10$ rebuild kit and about 30$ in brake fluid, it will not return the hydrauligic piston on the master to disengage the clutch. Made a fire extinguisher power bleeder to make bleeding a cinch. I can not make it work any advice? An afermarket Master clutch replacement would be easiest but I would like to keep the girling master cylinder for looks. The cylinder bore does not have pitting or bad scoring. After a week of rebuilding and bleeding and a bit of time to think my plan is to polish the master's piston, I think I may have damaged it getting it out at some point. Anybody have a similar problems rebuilding the master clutch cylinder?
