Hey Serge!
I'm a fan of both groups and bother the old guys a lot with my questions. Anyway...my fan bearing's been ground down and I run an electric fan. I currently use a Gates 7340 belt without a problem. The NAPA equivalent is 25-7340. If it were any shorter I wouldn't be able to get it on as I have a 900 alternator which is *huge* compared to the original. I really have to tilt it into the engine to get the belt on!
There's probably a better method but as to the clips, I used a pair of circlip pliers to get them started and tapped the rest down with a dead-blow hammer/flathead combination. They're on now at least.
