The sacrificial inner drive shaft is a later undrilled version but with identical splines.
I thought I checked the long bolts against my SAE Tap & Die set and found nothing that matched. A metric thread would be odd since everything else is SAE sizes. I will be doing additional verification. Thanks!
I had a successful afternoon in the shop getting my Bull Nose ready for shipping out for rebuild. Removed the pressure plate, clutch plate, flywheel, harmonic balancer, intake manifold, water fitting, and distributor. All fasteners separately bagged and labeled for reinstallation.
The guy said he needed only the long block and to remove everything else. Now to construct a fitted crate for it and the GT crank that is going with it. End result will be a freshly rebuilt engine using the latest and greatest parts (pistons, rods, and bearings) with a hybrid crank.
