The spade fuses I was refereing to were the funky coloured see through plastic fuses you see in new cars. You can buy aftermarket fuse holders for them from auto shops. I would of bought one had I figured out a neat way of integrating into the existing wiring (ie. I do not want to totaly rewire my car with my limited electircal abilities!)
The so called ceramic fuses are actually plastic, but I guess as someone suggested that they used to be ceramic....if so that is before my time!!
I think the glass fuses sound good if only I could find them.....
One last point: vasaline on the ends of the fuses/fuse terminals sometimes helps minimise the corrosion/no contact problems on the ceramic fuses.
Happy saabing
Justin
