You didn't tell us what year your car is. I've found some of the aftermarket pumps to be lacking in quality. On one of them the impeller vanes were straight and radiated out from the center and I question the efficiency of its operation. On the OEM pumps the vanes are curved so that they sling the water outward. For water pumps, I would pay the extra cost of the OEM pump from SAAB. Make sure you get the right one, as there was a change in the number of teeth on the gear at some point. Be very careful when installing it and don't damage the gears on the pump or the driving shaft. I hope you haven't already damaged the driving gear on the shaft in the engine. replacement of that shaft is an engine out operation.
As for the cover, are you meaning the outside cover under the intake manifold to which the hoses attach? That is not part of the water pump kit but you can probably find someone with a spare.
