You can shop around to the various auto parts houses in your area for pricing on bearings, gaskets, etc. or you can go to one of the advertisers on TSN. With the latter is expect that you are better assured of getting quality replacement parts. A buddy recently got a gasket set for a '78 Turbo and it didn't include the gasket between the thermostat housing and the head. If you want a n/a car you will have to have new pistons. Get the new pistons before the machine shop works on your block.
The camshaft in your '74 engine is a bit hotter grind than that in your '79 engine. I've heard that it is a cheap alternative to putting a performance cam in a later 'B' engine.
As for fuel injection, if your D-jetronic EFI is working well, why screw around with changing it. There is a lot of work involved with converting to the K-jetronic CIS system.
