So, youre pretty sure you got the wiring correctly. Hmm, I must admit that if the non-stopping problems coincided with you rewiring the circuits, it doesnt exactly look so.
Anyway, lets find the flaw here:
-What was the initial fault? Ignition, you say, did the engine misfire?
-The wiring from the alternator to the starter consists of ONE 4mm2 wire. Did you replace more than that one, perhaps...?
-The "ignition-relay" does not have anything to do with the ignition, actually. It only switches CONSUMERS like heater fan, wipers, seat-heat, instruments and so on. Its even possible to drive the car without that relay. So, there lies the fault not.
From the clues you've left here, its really hard to guess. My blindfolded estimate would be... You've got a manual Saab with a worn ignition-key switch. (Autos have a relay for the starter relay. Those never wear)
