That little blister stretches all the way down to the steering rack. You might say it is the "footprint" of the v-belt.
But hey, I'm all for the idea. In fact, I've cut that part out of a late 99 on the scrap. So when I'm putting a H-engine into my m78 99, I'll just replace that part of the bulkhead with the one from the scrap. Nice and tidy.
