Get a Mityvac bleader at any parts store. Autozone sells them for about $25. It's the fastest and easiest way. It includes directions on how to use. The 99 drive shafts are extremely easy to remove/clean,re-pack/re-boot.You may have noise from them being dry and dirty. That won't last long before repacements are the case, and they aren't cheap. You can match up your boots with aftermarket ones at a parts store. Your key issue sounds like your clutch slave is the problem. Good luck.
