This article made interesting reading. At least now I know what jet is used for what reason. Today I pulled the carb for cleaning (lousy job with all these bolts hardly accessible) so I wrote down the values I found. The engine it is on is a normal compression (9:1(?))1500 (European specs). For security I put the location of the jets in as well. The following numbers came up:
Primary Secondary Location of jet
fuel 135 130 bottom of float chamber
e tube F5C F6 tubes in channels from float chamber
bottom going upwards
air 165 160 jets on top of e tubes
idle 55 50 on either outside of the carb, heads look like big screws.
throat 3,5 3,5
pump 50 jet that sprays into primary throat when accelleration pump is operated
Engine runs like the clappers with these jettings. At 5500 revs it still feels it can go faster.
Good luck,
Alex
