Your 4-speed will bolt right up to the 900T's B20T. I have such a configuration sitting in my garage now. You will need to make some changes, however! You'll need to swap water pump covers and alternator brackets, and you will likely need to remove the timing cover and drill out a location for the passenger side motor mount's rear/upper bracket. I think that's it.
As for other parts, you can mostly swap things around. I would go ahead and swap the 900's rear axle into the 99, then you can use 900 rear shocks as well. I don't know about the front parts - I've converted all my pre '87 Saabs to vented rotors. I *think* an '80 900 and '78 99 should be the same, but I can't double check.
Have fun!
