corrosion of the head on the intake manifold side. My 74 was a good running car when I parked it. After seven years of sitting I yanked the motor, and when I went to drain the oil a gallon or so of antifreeze came out first. My first thought was that it was the water pump, but a few here on this board thought cracked block. So, I pulled the head off and noticed that the intake side of the head was pitted. I had the head pressure tested and it checked out ok. I also had them machine the intake side to clean up the pitting. So far so good, and it's been 3 months now.
