Wow, you guys are nuts!!! This is my first visit to this list and thisis the place. While I have not had the pleasure of riding in a 2 stroker Saab, I know where you're coming from with the Saabitis. I've gone from a '95 9000CSE with all the trimmings to an '86 900S n/a. The car is in great shape and only has 105K miles on it. I tell my wife that this will be the last car that I'll need to buy ( She's got an '01 9-3S) Anyway, she condecendingly agrees to go for a ride with me. After a mile or two she couldn't wait to get out. Her comment, this car is prehistoric.
I've owned a Volvo diesel and when you floored the accelerator it would spew out BLACK smoke as if it was a distroyer croosing the English Channel.
My daughter was a pre-teen at the time and would live to go riding with me - because if someone tailgated too close I would jamb the gas pedal to the floor (the car wouldn't go anywhere)and the tailgater would be consumed in this huge black cloud. She would roll on the seat laughing so hard.
If this keeps up, I may find myself looking at the 96's.
