I got a transmission issue that apparently plagues the early generation of the NG900s. Cost of a transmission swap at the indepent? $2800!!!
I got a used transmission for $650 and I will do the tranny swap myself. Modest savings of $2150 :) At this price I can afford to swap the transmission SEVERAL times :)
Part prices for your work:
Clutch cable 47.90
Front Brakes:
Rotors: 67.96
Pads: 52.24
Rear Brakes:
Rotors 53.18
Pads 29.90
Total cost: 251.18. Free shipping no tax, for the entire order. Of course this requires planning, and there might be some odds bits and pieces that need to be added to do the job correctly (rotor retaining screws, caliper mounting kits for ther rear rotors, etc.). So the total realisticlly probably be closer to 280.00 for everything.
Once again, is the labor that kills you. At least is done, and you got your peace of mind. Again, no price on peace of mind.
