No, I didn't see that. Wish you would have been at our last club meet the wine tour and drive where we ended up at Silver Mountain Winery. We had a pretty lengthy discussion about the club hosting the national convention with over 40 people in attendence. I feel this persons angst and frustration, but coordinating the convention is a tremendous undertaking. Why won't I stand up and volunteer? I did several years ago, but was told there were other venues in line and we had to wait. So now it is our time, and at present I no longer have the time or energy to coordinate the convention. I don't think my partner Roger Wapner has the time or energy either, at least that's the consensus we reached at the club meet.
For me SAABs are my hobby and passion. I have a pretty serious day job as many of you out there do also. I am not going to jeapordize it or my home life to put on the convention. If SAABs were my full time job I probably would assist in putting on the convention.
For now all I can do is focus on the local club events and make them as enjoyable as possible for the people out here. I am a member of SCNA and wish the organization all the best.
