Hi again CSC,
I know this is sort of a long shot, but does anyone have a welder that they could stand letting a stranger (with some kind of deposit of course), use for a while. Maybe some scrap sheet metal from another project that you could let go of? How bout' (yeah RIGHT!!) a spare 93/5/6 floor pan?
I am working on a 59' 93B that I pulled out of a barn last may. It has the original pirelli bi's in the front. The car was last registered in ME in 64'. Originally sold by Coldbrook Saab in Scowhegan ME. I am the 2nd owner. It is a complete car minus the original 750cc. In its place I have a ported and bored 850cc. also has the dual Monte Carlo exhaust, and wooden GT steering wheel. I have access to a 4 speed that I think I'm going to use. (I have the 3-speed in the trunk). It mostly needs front floors though, its sort of a "flintstone-mobile" right now. there are some parts that I can't find or hope to afford (92/3 pull starter). but I am not that far off.
I am hoping to DRIVE this car to CO in AUG for SOC 09. I had 2 cars on the field at SOC 08', and would love make the OLDEST entrant at SOC 09', registered in NC. (my mother is also driving and entering her Concourse condition 900S, from ME!!) I am going to need some help putting this car together. This is the first stroker that I've ever owned/worked on.
I attempted to attach a couple of photos..both are the day that i EXTRACTED the car. the window picture is the first view I ever got of the car. It took a crowbar and saw to get into that barn.
