This is a 2 part question.

Details
1999 93
Manual cloth seats w/ side airbags

Part 1.
I have purchased power power leather seats from a 2001 93.
Before doing this, I asked various people, a dealer and some SAAB garages if they were aware of any limitations or issues to install these seats. I have successfully installed the rear seats however, the front power seats are another issue.
1. It appears that the car wiring from the fuse console (slots 5 & 16) have power but no ground.
2. The harness connector from my manual seats only has about 6 active points of contact. The power Seats require about double that. So, although they fit together, the required wires from computer to the seats are not present.
Therefor there appears to be a completely different wiring/cabling requirement from the Main computer (DAS- I believe it's called) and to the seats.

Question: Does anyone know exactly what is required accomodate the installation of these seats to function with power? (a) And (b) Can you direct me to a contact or resource that can provide the information.

Part 2
If the cost to successfully install these power seats is not cost effective or if it is not relatively easy to do so, I will just like to transfer the leather portion of the seats from the power seats and onto the frame of the original manual seats.

Question: Does anyone know of the best way to do this or please direct me to a place that can do this job.

I'm located in the Toronto GTA (Canada)

Thank-you in advance for your consideration to this question
