Well, "other" car brands easily go 100K with their spark plugs but when it comes to Saab and that finicky life they seem to live, 60K might be better and other Saab mechanics even state they do them at 30K on the 9-3 V6 to make sure the coils are not stressed.
I don't know what's true or not and what's best for the car and the owners wallet.
The 9-5 V6 is a little bit newer model than the 9-3 V6 so that might be something to consider.
What I do see on the Volvo's is that they kill an ignition coil here and there as well and they have 60K and sometimes 90K between plug changes all depending on what emission level the car have.
That is strange in itself that Volvo feel the same spark plug can go 30K longer in one year/model and not in the other but it is probably a computer expert that have calculated on that.
So 60K is what I would suggest.
Keep in mind that all service suggestions is loosely based on what the market can take and what they have promised authorities when the car was type registered.
It doesn't mean what's best for the longevity of the car but more a trend like what BMW started years ago with 100K before the first tune up.
