The oil pump pressure regulation valve might be stuck open. Front corner of the timing chain facing downard. Open it up to see if the valve is jambed open. If you find it stuck and get it working right with the pressure and noise problems fixed, that might be all that you need. You can DIY this if so inclined.
It not that, the oil pickup screen might be full of crud. To be mechanically cleaned the oil pan needs to be pulled. This is not as easy as it sounds. At this point a bearing cap can be pulled to access how the bearing shells are doing.
You could try to clean up any sludging with AutoRX or solvent type addatives. This should be done if the oil pan is removed or not. I would get a solvent type that is designed to be driven on and use that while the AutoRX is in transit.
You can pull the valve cover and see the chain and sprocket teeth tips etc. Look for sludge. Any chain rollers broken or missing. Drain oil and do fishing through the drain hole with a bent wire to see in anything solid is floating around.
