MJM or Mattias: want oil pressure relief valve picture Posted by iveand [Email] (#3155) [Profile/Gallery] (more from iveand) on Sun, 13 Jun 2004 13:33:09 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It seems that the pictures from the archives were deleted. I found the link to the one Mattias had, but it is not there anymore. Could someone post one if they have one?
I get the flickering oil pressure light after a long run when returning to idle. I have also cleaned up sludge and am running auto-rx, but I definately want a look at that valve. Thanks.
By the way, I have heard it referenced to as "oil pressure switch", "oil pressure relief valve" and "oil pressure reducer valve". Are these the same thing? I am also getting a mixed picture on location: it is on the timing cover side pointing down, or is it right by the oil filter? Or are these two different things? Again, I am a bit confused. Haynes doesn't seem to do anything for me on this.
