Thanks to Deans post I was able to DIY this project myself, never done a brake job before. The one thing I would add is, in order to remove the rotor you need to loosen the ebrake first. This is done by putting the little whole in the rotor at 6 o'clock and turning the little wheel inside. Three of the four pads on my rear brakes where not working when I bought my 99 9-3 63,000 miles. The pads themselves where stuck in the caliper houseing. I pried them out and then took the rust off of the calipers and then buffed the pins. You may want to buy new pins. They seemed to be working fine now.
