I've been asked for almost double that !!!.
After asking if it was a saab remote, purchased from a saab dealer My local official Saab dealer (A GM Mega Centre... their words not mine), estimated $80 plus tax to re-program the remote I bought of ebay... and they said they would try, but couldnt promise they could do it. I declined
The same dealer once tried to tell me that I needed a VIN just to order a windsheild washer non-return valve. I have become increasingly frustrated with this type of dealr and this particular one seem to serve all GM cars from saturns to Hummers and I worry about the true appreciation of the saab.
I took mine to an indpendent (Dennis Sweeny Saab. PA) and he charged me about $5 I think, he was polite, freindly, helpful, complementary of my car, appreciative of the business and he fitted me in at a time of my convinience before #1 Cochran could find any space in their diary. It took 15 minutes or so and was well worth the scenic 30 mile drive.
