I'm assuming you left the center nut on the shock where it goes through the strut bearing. If not put the spring compressor on the spring now and collapse it some. The drive shaft stays in the car, but you need to remove the nut where it goes through the hub and pull the strut assy. off the drive shaft. Sometimes the splines get glued together and you'll need a big puller to get it apart (take the disc off and put the puller legs around the hub flange). Once the driveshaft is disengaged the strut will come right out after you undo the three little nuts at the strut bearing. To get the cap off the strut, to get the cartridge out, put it on the ground, clock it 'til the steering arm is on the ground, stand on the strut and use a big pipe wrench on the nut. Shock to strut bearing is harder as the whole thing spins, use an air gun.
