Never had either of these, but I can tell you about what I have had;

Goodyear RSA - so so
Michelin Pilot HX - no good, expensive, OEM on my 94 SE
Yokohama AVS 100 - good in rain but got noisy at 15 k, so so
Bridgestone RE 730 - good performers, but horribly noisy at 8k, NO GOOD
Dunlop SP9000 - a good all around tire, lasted 40k, quiet, but pricey
Falken Ziex 512 - currently on my 00 9-3 SE, so so
Pirelli PZeroNero - currently on my 94 SE, this is very good for the money

I do not live where it snows, but it can rain like hell. The only M/S (Mud/Snow rated) tire above is the Pirelli PZeroNero, which I happen to like the best of the bunch I have had. You should give them a look, they have been on my car for 21k, are quiet, and good in rain, will probably last 40k.

Check the reviews at Tire Rack's website from Saab owners. I am not the only one who were surprised by the PZeroNero. The other Pirellis have poor reviews, so stay away from them.
