That elephant trunk, is actually the drain from the intake tray just below the windshield.
You can remove the cover of the a/c intake tray by first removing your wipers, and lifting the weatherstrip on top of your fireall off.
You will see an air filter that covers your hvac air intake and probably a lot of leaves and other debris in the drainage channels. You should clear that stuff out.
The dealer is supposed to replace the filter and clear out the intake area as part of your annual service. In the past I have been charged for this when the dealer did not do the work... ending up in a big fight with the dealer.
Saab needs to learn how to create a premium dealer experience to go along with the premium positioning of their cars.
