215/40/17s will create an error in your speedo, since it's calibrated for the 215/45 size, and you'll be reducing the overall diameter of your tire/wheel. Probably only a few percent though...
I'm not sure I'd want an even lower profile tire on the Viggen. I've already had two tires go flat on me because I hit a pothole right when the valve stem was at the bottom of the tire (cracked the stem...thankfully, $10 to fix each one..this time with a PREMIUM metal surrounded stem!). Highly recommended to any other Viggen driver if this happens to them!
I'm convinced that the the pothole that flattened the front right tire the last time, was severe enough to screw up something in my steering/suspension...I feel as though I'm getting a lot less absorption of road irregularities, and feel them in the wheel much more now...time to call the dealer, I guess. Or maybe even a bent rim on the interior portion.
