Yes, they make lots of SUVs and trucks, which they make because people
buy them. My mother has a F150, and my Brother a Dodge Ram. The Dodge is
a much nicer truck, but the Ford isn't too bad. I don't enjoy driving
trucks though. I don't enjoy driving SUVs either. Most people that buy
them think it's an advantage to be sitting way up high. That's not for me.
Some ford-loving relatives decided not to buy another ford
recently due to dealer attitude problems regarding the firestone recall,
but dealer problems plague every automaker.
They've also got the Ford Focus, which doesn't seem to objectionable.
They are owners of Mazda, which is good. A nice variety of economical
cars there, some of which are sporty.
They make the lincoln LS cars which are quite popular and innovative,
even if the lights/grille looks like a BMW.
They own Aston Martin and Jaguar. Jaguar has improved nicely since
being bought by Ford. I look forward to someday owning a late 1990's Jaguar
with Ford's quality control and reliability improvements.
So aside from the SUVs, Ford is moving ahead nicely.
