Hi, I just found this board, and what a relief it is! I have been dying for an internet forum since I sold my 72 240Z.
Does anyone have experience with Mille Miglia wheels or Dunlop SP9000's?
I have a 00 9-3 base model and bought 17" Mille Miglia Spiders and Dunlop 215/45 SP9000s from the tire rack. They had a terrible shudder through the steering wheel when I installed them. Had them rebalanced and was told two of them were out of round.
Sent all 4 back to the Tire Rack, and after convincing them I didn't bend the wheels by hitting something, they replaced two of them. When I got them back, they still shuddered.
Took them to a high performance tire shop for rebalancing and indexing and two of them still have excessive runout.
The Tire Rack is taking them back and refunding my money, but won't sell to me anymore. Just wondering if its these wheels/tires (cheap at 1000/set) or something common with larger diameter wheels on a Saab.
Thanks
Mike
