Occasional problem with reverse

Within the last week or so, it has sometimes been difficult to get my 2000MY 5-speed manual 9-3 to shift into reverse. It dosen't happen all the time, but when it does, I have to fight with it a little to get it to go into reverse without grinding.
I have about 16,500 miles on it now. Should the clutch need adjustment this soon? (I do not "ride" the clutch.)
