Wax Residue on Non-Painted Surfaces
I accidentally applied a coat of Meguiar's Liquid Gold Wax to some of the non-painted moldings on my black 2000 9-3 as I was waxing the car. Now, every time the car gets wet, a thin white wax residue appears on these black non-painted surfaces, and I am unable to permanently remove the residue.
The only way that I can return the molding to its original color, black, is to apply a generous layer of Mother's Back-to-Black to the moldings each time I wash the car. I have tried bug and tar remover, scrubbing, WD-40 and soap, but none of these products or methods even begin to remove the residue. In fact, nothing seems to permanently remove the wax residue.
Does anyone know of a permanent solution to my ongoing wax residue problem?
