I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago when I went to switch from my snow wheels/tires to my summer set up. I succeeded in removing them by using a long narrow piece of wood (about 1 foot x 1 inch x 1 inch) and a heavy 16 oz. hammer. While each wheel was jacked up, I placed one end of the wood on the edge of the rim on the BACK side of the wheel, then I smacked it a bunch of times as I rotated the wood around the rim. Space is tight behind the wheel, but I could get about 3/4 of the way around the rim. After a couple minutes of pounding on each one, I could slowly jiggle them free side-to-side. The rear ones were a little easier because of the moving steering parts on the front.
There was definitely corrosion inside, even though the snow wheels had only been on the car for four months, and the whole car only had 10K miles. I cleaned off the gunk, then lubed up the hub/wheel contact points with a synthetic grease before I installed the other wheels. We'll see in the fall if that helps when I go to take the wheels off next time.
