You have probably lost some coolant, and with a cold engine, the level is lower and during acceleration with a cold engine, the fluid in the reservoir rocks away from the sensor. As the engine warms up and the level rises this will not occur and the message status will clear.
So, find and tighten hose clamps... look for stains. You will find many that feel loose. Also look behind the water pump where it fits to the front side of the block by an adaper and o-rings. Use a flashlight. Look for stains or wetness there. If that is happening, then that is major labor to fix. Probably want to fit a new pump as long as the old one would be removed anyways. Never seen a DIY post on water pump replacement.
Look for milkyness in the oil. Your loss is minor so that might not be seen. Look for seepage where the head joins the block. Head gaskets can cause coolant losses. Look for signs of oil or soot in the reservior as well. Look for fluid losses at the thermostat. Inspect heater hoses between the firewall and head.
