My base 99 9-3 had a buyout of 16300, I just aggreed to purchase my car for 10400. My guess is you can do a lot better right now and expecially at the end of January would be my guess......But May ( spring) time is a time for car buyers and the remaining incentives and inventory of 2001 that work in your favor maybe gone. I may also add the shot in the arm that economy took in sept may be a passing thought by spring. Not with me but the masses.

It's not how much you want the car for, or what it's worth, that is pure emotion......but the conditions and economic factors that pushes the finance company to the brink where they don't want it or it's a risk by taking it back.

By the way when I was about 4 months out from my lease they basically gave me the same deal they're giving you, but keep in mind you are obligated to what you signed on for originally.....
