As the owner of a 2000 Saab 9-3 AND a 1992 Acura Integra GS-R, I feel qualified to reply to some of the comments about both cars. I really enjoy both cars. I've owned the Saab since new, and quite frankly it is a much smoother car than the Integra. The only time I ever felt front vibration that could be described as odd is when it sat for 2 weeks while I was on vacation. Once the tires warmed up, it went away. The same thing happened to my Integra. I suspect an alignment or wheel balance problem more than anything in the car you test drove. As to wind noise, I get a whistle at around 93 + MPH. I have a US-spec car in Germany, so I get to experience it a lot. The Integra produces wind noise at around 85 MPH. But the VTEC starts to drown out the wind at those speeds. The Saab brake pedal placement is perfect for me. I've experienced sudden, high speed braking several times on the autobahn, and driven it around the north circuit of the Nuerburgring with no problems. I've never experienced difficulty putting my foot on the brake pedal. In fact the brakes are marvelous and compare very well to the Porsches I've driven. The Saab pedals are much better than the stock set up on my Integra for heel and toe (I have a 5 speed in both cars). The Integra is quick and corners better due to its low center of gravity and light weight. The Saab is smoother, faster, and more comfortable on long trips. And it is the best car I have ever had in snow and ice. I recently climbed a snow and ice covered hill and discovered my Saab was the only 2-wheel drive vehicle at the top. The other cars were parked at the bottom, and their drivers walked up because they couldn't make it. The Acura does ok, but doesn't do as well in the cold stuff. I already commented on my Saab's reliability in an earlier comment. 50,000 miles and running strong.
