On my Maptun StageIII 9-3 I've checked using the tachometer, since my speedo is likely to be off cause of the larger tires I have (225/45/17 vs 215/45/17 which is the ECU setting).
Anyway I've managed to get just under 6000rpms; using 5900rpms as my number and using the gear ratios to calculate the speed it works out to 263.9 km/h (or 164mph)! It is likely to be just slightly less due to tire deformation of course. For what it's worth the speedo indicated roughly 255 tho it was off the scale. This is also on par with Hirsch's claim for the 9-3 Troll.
For the doubtful, I double-checked my numbers using this photo: http://saabnet.com/tsn/photo/0001.html
and for 5400 rpms my figure works out to 238.1 km/h -check the speedo.
