9-3 struts are cartridge type? Posted by andrew [Email] (#1013) [Profile/Gallery] (more from andrew) on Sat, 27 Apr 2002 12:16:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just got my Eibach springs and dampers in (after a 2 month wait). Was shocked to open the box and look at the front struts and see that they are cartridges. I never really looked under the front end to see what's there. Just hoping that The US model also uses cartridge type inserts.
About the Eibach shocks/struts. I was a little weary of buying them (couldn't find out who really made them) But, since they are OE quipment on some UK models, I figured what the hell. Apon inspection, they are german made and are manufactured by Sachs (boge). The compression stroke seems pretty suple, the rebound very controled. Hoping to get everything installed monday. I'll post pics, and tell everyone how they feel.
