Looks like a baby 9-5 to me.
The one thing I notices is the gaps look much tighter than my 9-3. That's one of the first things I noticed when I got my 2000 9-3... The gaps are huge. Look at an Acura MDX then your 9-3, you'll see. This new one looks better in that respect.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but all cars sold in the swedish market need headlight cleaners. That means water jets, wipers, or a troll that cleans 'em on demand, right? Where are they on the new 9-3? Maybe the Romanian one doesn't get them... I know cars get different options for different markets.
Those rims are HOT.
The back end will take getting used to, lack of hatch not withstanding.
Nav system option could be cool. That brings Saab up to date. Toyota, Nissan, the Germans, and I'm sure some American brands offer that. I'm guessing it will make it into the 9-5 at some point, too.
I wonder if 5 speed is available? Paddles may be cool, but I feel like I'm driving when I'm using a clutch and stick..
We'll see what the saab usa site has in the morning.
