Thanks for the post. I am with you regarding the dealerships in the area. I purchased my Saab at the Met (that's another story...), but I have been getting service at Concours. I drove a Passat from Concours prior to the Saab, and I live close to them; hence, they get my service.
There is an import shop in Glendale called Alpine Import Specialists where I have been taking my cars. They are a great bunch of people, and they do good work. I spoke to them about doing the suspension work on the Saab, and they seemed very interested in it. That is to say, they sound very performance mod friendly. I am thinking about talking to them some more about the swap.
I also have some friends who drive BMWs, Audis, Benzes, etc. (where do I get one of those jobs?), and I am trying to find out where they get their work done. I'll be sure to post back with any new info.
Perhaps I'll have to hone my mechanical skills in my friends' garage - it can't be that difficult, right? (Famous last words...)
