Found on this board archive I think and copied/pasted in my "Saab database" for future uses... :
1. First, remove the radio. The easiest way to do this is with a radio removal tool (available at your dealer and many parts stores) This tool consists of two metal U-shaped rods. The two prongs of each "U" go in the pair of holes on each side of the radio. Insert the tool and simply pull the radio out of the dash. If you don't have the tool, you can use 4 thick nails that just fill the holes (I used four masonry nails.) but you can also use 4 BBQ sticks. Insert the nails, put your fingers between each pair of nails, spread them slightly apart and pull the radio out of the dash. Do not disconnect the wires from the radio. Let it (sort of) hang from the dash.
2. Reach into the radio cavity in the dash, up and behind the SID unit. Push the SID unit out of the dash. Disconnect the wires from the SID unit and set it aside.
Regarding the SID unit cleaning, I have no clue but according to some posts, it's a very sensitive thing so you might be very careful when messing with it.
Regards,
Mathias
