If he says that a certain combo of springs and sway bars works best, then I believe him. You can decide what direction you want to go and start with the sway bar and evaluate from there.
Search drs_install on the ng900 BB and look for the sway bar install from about a year ago. Lots of detail. See there also for struts and mounts. I suggest not getting any paint into the bolted joint interface. Do the 10mm bolts that I decribe in a later post where I replace the 8mm stainless fasteners. You need a very strong tight joint to combat creaks and click as that joint shifts. Not that the stock bar has flat spots to allow flex in a lateral mode to de-couple the tortion of the bear that wants to make the joint move.
I have the Viggen rescue kit which is expensive but what you need to do if you want really good handling. The subframe brace takes about 1.25 or 1.5" of ground clearance away. So I would not want lowering springs, stiffer perhaps. But performance springs are always being sold as shorter springs.
So I have the stock SE springs, sas bar, koni's and VRK. The old shocks do wear out, so getting the koni's is then not so bad as you are into the cost of somekind of shocks and the labor anyways. If you wanted to do the springs, they would be about zero cost to install while doing the shocks. The VRK is around $800US, plus around $300 to install. So all of this is a big hit for most.
