I have two reservations about touchless: the chemicals used are very harsh, and can etch the paint, and they use high pressure water, which can be a concern if water gets into nooks it normally wouldn't then freezes.
I have a lot of automatic washes by me, even one at the end of the block, but I drive 1/2 hour each way to a particular one. Why? They use a lot of water and soap, to reduce scratches. And I have never had a finish scratched at this location.
I think it takes about 1/2 hour to wash and detail the inside and outside for 10 bucks. They wash goes pretty quick, but its the end work that takes forever.
I had it machine washed on Sunday, then applied a coat of Imperial Hand Glaze, then Meguiar's 26 paste, at it looks fabulous.
I was going to wait, thinking that its new paint, then remembered our 9-5 was built 01/02 and delivered 08/02 so I figured this one had some months on it, too. Well, Saab must be sling shotting them across the pond, Since my 9-3 was built 11/02 and I got it 01/03. It was on the dealers lot 1 day!!!
