Part sharing is not a big deal if it does not affect the quality of a vehicle. Have you seen the new Porsche SUV and the new VW SUV- they took the Ford/Mecury approach of just swapping badges. VW and Audi are near identical on the inside, and Mercedes and Crysler share parts as well. Furthermore, I have a classic, real 100% Saab and the parts are not "Scandanavian". Bosch-which puts out parts to everyone is German, and thats only one of many. Lastly, part sharing also works in reverse. Saab manufactures transmissions for the GM Opel brand in Europe amoung other things. As much as I don't like Saab as part of the GM brand, it probably would have gone under had it not been purchased by GM. Same goes for Aston Martin, Jag, etc.
