When we went in March two years ago we also specified a SAAB and we got the ugliest 9-3 5-speed you ever want to see. In Europe it is very common for base model cars to come without hubcaps. Picture a dark green 9-3 with black steel wheels. UGLY!
We rented from National. You may be able to find a luxury rental service that would have what you are looking for but.....like here.....you're going to pay alot for it.
But....we also rented from Hertz in Germany the year before that and got a Mercedes SLK (with real wheels) so...some companies do have higher end cars. They also put a governor on the car so you can't go too fast. Had the Mercedes to 210KPH (I think) and then the governor bumped it back down real fast.
The time of year that you may be going is nice because it not peak tourism season then. Everyone will either think you are English or think you are native. Everyone speaks very good English also.
Have fun.....try to get to the SAAB museum in Trollhatten while you are there. Never know when you'll get back.
