Having 17"wheels doesn't necessarily mean that you have a sport package on your car. If the sport package isn't listed on window sticker's MSRP, your car doesn't have it. A gentleman who works for SaabUSA was kind enough to pull the VIN of my car and found out that my car wasn't built with sport package. He also informed me that during December of last year, the supplier for 16" wheels was running behind in shipments so Saab had to put 17" wheels on the cars free of charge, and therefore it wasn't listed on the window sticker.

For all this time I was led to believe by the sale rep that my car had sport package. Just the day before I signed the lease contract he assured me that the car had this option. When we negotiated the deal, I was more concerned about my lease payment than the MRSP so I didn't bother to check the MSRP detail, nor did I see the car with factor sticker before signing the contract. The sale rep probably knew it all along since he purposely wrote "17 wheels" instead of "sport package" on my purchase order. But the fact that the "17 wheels" option doesn't exist is an evidence that he was trying to mislead me. He didn't want to come straight with me until I told him that a person who works for Saab USA informed me of this fact. The lease contract was signed last week and the car now has about 158 miles on it. Now the issue has been passed to the sale manager who has yet to get back to me.

What would you do if you were in this situation?
