tranny ,whichever one you choose. i have always been a manual guy but on my 99-9-3 i went for an auto as sometimes my commute is fairly busy with getting paged/phone calls etc and i didn't want to have to worry about shifting as well.driving on a twist country road i miss a manual the auto in sport mode has enough pickup to keep things interesting. i had a loaner 9-3ss with the 5speed sentronic and thought it worked really well but after a while i actually got tired of shifting it manually - does this happen in old age? i dont notice any problem with the tranny in the 99 when you floor it the tranny downshifts and then you wait for the turbo to kick in. auto trannies have come a long way don't race cars all use autos now? one could argue that there is no need to worry about shifting , put it in drive , turn up the tunes concentrate on the line into the curve and enjoy the ride!
