On Star/Saab Roadside Assistance/Tow Event #1. Running errands this evening in my 12,700 mile 5 door, and after a brief stop at a smACME, walked out, remote unlocked, get in, insert key, turn key, nothing happens. Well, some things happen, like the fasten seat belt chime goes off, the radio plays, and something that sounds like the starter solenoid, or some similar electro-mechanical switch, clicks under hood. Hmm.
The strange(est) part is the SID saying CHECKING, then CHECK OK. Or maybe that's not so strange, I just usually sit down, insert key, and twist to start, don't look at SID initially.
On Star was polite, SRA was also, but was generally clueless about the vehicle, at least regarding the couple questions I asked. Waited over an hour for the flat-bed, apparently the fact that I was at the ACME got lost in the shuffle. Next time, I'll give less information . . . KISS!
Seems like one of the brains won't let me start the car, even though the key is accepted . . . or the battery cable came loose (?!?), at least I can check that tomorrow. Anyone have any similar experience, or clues to the electro-spaz episode that I can share with the dealer come Monday???
