Why worry so much about BMW??

The "my car is a better value than your car" argument is always kind of lame even when it is true. Take that to the logical end and we will all be in Camrys (or worse).
I say get the car that you like and enjoy without comparing yourself to the competitors. There will always be another car you could have gotten that does this or that better.
In this case, the 325 is most likely the better performing car - with the additional margin of performance coming at an extra cost that may or may not be worth it to you.
If it's any consolation, many people who have 325s are doing the same "better value" justifications when comparing the 325 they bought to the 330 they didn't. And the 330 guys compare to the M3.
It never ends.
