I might be tempting fate here, but I have almost 5000 miles on my 9-3ss and have had zero problems. I love the car. My only VW experience was an 82 Scirocco that was six years old when I got it. I loved that car too, but I bought everything in it that made it go 2 or 3 times over. And some things, like gauges tied to ugly electric problems I just learned to live without.
