Thanks. I try to keep it as clean as I can. One Saturday, two summers ago, I spent the all day cleaning my car , inside and out. (Including the engine bay.) I mean, I really cleaned it. I even went as far as polishing the aluminum pipe up to the throttle body including the TBTC. I also polished the hard oil lines and water lines to the turbo. So now I make it a routine to just wipe things down every couple of days and whenever I wash the car. When you start with a real clean engine bay, it's not that hard to keep it that way. The only draw back might be that I think my neighbors think I'm wacko. Maybe I am. But I love this car more than any other I've owned so I like to take care of it. I also think that keeping it clean under the hood has more than just cosmetic value. If a leak were to ever appear (gasp!), it's much easier to diagnose the source. A cleaner engine and engine compartment runs a little cooler too. (That one might be a stretch...)
Anyway, thanks for the compliment. I know that I'm not the only one who takes pride in their car around here, so those things go a long way.
Cheers and happy SAABING!
