2000 Viggen, 52k miles, bought it Fall 2002 @ 36k coming off lease, no idea how leaser drove it or maintained it.
I don't thrash the car constantly, and I resist boosting hard until warmed up. I also take it easy in first. But when car's warm & I'm rolling I routinely use freeway on-ramps for a thrill, pulling max boost (7/8 throught the yellow) in 2nd & 3rd while spooling it up to 5-6krpm. I also inadvertantly round the rev limiter one time (oops). Have had no problems with the engine at all. It's a silken thrust.
Sorry to hear about your misplaced oil. Likely a fluke... flawed gasket probably. (That is assuming you weren't past 6krpm & the car is stock.)
